Cino Zucchi was born in Milano, Italy in 1955. He graduated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, Mass.) and at the Politecnico di Milano, where he is currently Chair Professor of Architecture and Urban Design.

Since graduating in 1979 he has worked on a succession of ambitious, eye-catching projects, founding Cino Zucchi Architetti in 1994. He has been teaching architecture in many international seminars around the globe, published numerous articles and essays and is the author of two books as well as the editor of the book Bau-Kunst-Bau.

Recent Awards:

  • 2005: 1st prize, Premio di Architettura "Comune di Venezia", Centro Culturale Candiani.
  • 2004-2006: special mention, Medaglia d’oro all’architettura italiana,Triennale di Milano.
  • 2004: 3rd prize, Premio Wienerberger Brick Award.
  • 2001: 1st prize, Piranesi Award.
